Why April is the wrong time to start tax planning

Estimates, equipment, and retirement contributions only work if someone is watching the books before December.

By the time you sit down in March, most of the moves are closed. Equipment placed in service, retirement contributions, estimated payments, and bonus timing only work if someone is watching during the year.

Year-round work is not “more invoices.” It is books that are current, a short meeting before year-end, and returns that are a close — not an excavation.

If you only want the returns prepared, we can do that. Just know what you are trading away.

Bring last year’s returns and a snapshot of the books. We’ll tell you what we see — and whether year-round work is worth it.
